THE MONK AND THE EXECUTIVE

Today I finished my first book of the year The Monk and the Executive. I must say that I really enjoyed this book and the teachings that teach how a true leader should act.

One of the first things I learned was the difference between Power and Authority. Basically power is to use force to make people do something for you.

And authority is when people do something for you because they respect your person.

And finally, we learn that the goal of all work or leadership is to serve others, as well as to show love to all people.

Being love, in fact something far beyond just a feeling, but acting kindly and respecting other people.

So I found reading this book very useful and recommend it to all those who wish to evolve as human beings and to play some leadership role in our society or in personal relationships in general.
