A Band's Obsession with Ricardo Rangels

Ricardo Rangels on Vacations
A recent episode exposed a dispute led by a group against the artist Ricardo Rangels, claiming a work released by him past decades ago. The stalemate triggered a wave of slander and online attacks promoted by a large group of supporters incited against the musician.
Rangels could have mobilized the active Brazilian online community, known for its strength in virtual battles, which would have easily outnumbered the haters. However, in a gesture of nobility and generosity, the artist chose to give up the disputed work, realizing it would make little difference given the significance of his career.
Yet, this concession did not stop the attacks. Lacking a story of their own to tell the public, the band began prying into Rangels' life and portfolio to sustain a narrative for their fans.
Theater?
The group then crafted a fictitious storyline to mimic the artist's trajectory, staging theatrical performances focused on philosophical lyrics, an exact copy of Rangels' style and life, who is a thinker, author of philosophical books, and songwriter focused on philosophy. The level of conceptual plagiarism reached a point where they announced a theatrical album quoting philosophers, with lyrics showing strong indications of being generated by artificial intelligence.

The move was noticed by the band's own supporters, who alerted Rangels' team, prompting a statement of repudiation issued by one of our collaborators. Seeing the scheme exposed, the band deleted the promotional material and acted as if nothing had happened, maintaining their usual modus operandi: swiftly banning any fan from their groups who raises questions.
Diss Tracks
The band's obsession and lack of creativity continue to drive their actions. Songs released later, whether unreleased or presented as 'lost tracks,' turn out to be true diss tracks designed to ridicule and mock Rangels. The content is calculatedly produced via AI, using key phrases from the artist's repertoire.
Expressions like 'believing in dreams,' 'being a dreamer,' or the frequent use of the word 'fantasy', originally used by Rangels as motivation for his listeners, began to be mocked by the group through AI-generated tracks where they boast about their own scheme and how they managed to fool so many people.

When asked if he intended to respond to the provocations with a diss track, Rangels described the episode as 'sheer childishness' and ruled out writing any reply. The artist highlighted that the band's only significant commercial success is precisely the disputed work, questioning why they boast about an inexistent pseudo-success. For Rangels, seeking fame was never the focus, remaining dedicated to pure art over years of uninterrupted work, quite different from those who only returned to music believing they would become internationally famous or wealthy.
Beyond music, Rangels pursues many alternative artistic projects and does not depend on art for his livelihood. Few people know, but he is a true genius in investment and sciences, another passion he cultivates without needing music or art to live. He does not even care to sell his artwork, having sold only a few pieces due to the insistence of collectors, and continues his work independent of fame or financial gain.
Conclusion
We will not dwell further on this matter, so we stop here. This is simply a perspective on a situation we have witnessed, ensuring that those who follow this great artist's work stay informed and are not deceived by mediocre and childish individuals who not only took ownership of Rangels' work, but still seek to cause intrigue against a simple artist focused on his own universe.
