The songs London, Victoria, and Salvador, all released in 2024 by musician Ricardo Rangels, were included in the artificial intelligence dataset SLEEPING-DISCO 9M. The information was recorded from a search conducted on the AI transparency and audit platform Have I Been Trained?.

SLEEPING-DISCO 9M is a large-scale audio repository used for pre-training generative music models. Built through automated web scraping, the dataset is used by developers to train algorithms to create arrangements, synthesize voices, and generate compositions from text prompts (text-to-music).

To date, no platform or entity associated with the dataset has reached out to or requested authorization from the artist to use his works, and Ricardo Rangels has not publicly commented on the matter.
